Currently we are serving markets in the Caribbean, North America, Central and South America, the Atlantic, and Europe from our base of operations in New York, principally with consolidation and contract shipping services.
Dowa Line America in particular is one of the leading Japan-based carriers operating small and mid-sized cargo vessels (6,000-24,000 ton) in the markets listed above. We maintain close relationships with shippers in the USA, Central and South America, and Europe, and have pursued a distinctive management strategy of signing long-term volume contracts. As of January 2010 we have 16 vessels in our fleet, and are looking to expand our operations.

Our management plan is to actively invest in the real estate business in order to establish a consistent earnings base in addition to the maritime trade and maritime agency business. As part of this program we have been acquiring land and commercial buildings adjacent to our corporate headquarters. The Tokyo Metropolitan government has a major project under way to build the Minato No. 2 Kanjo Highway (a.k.a. the Macarthur Highway), and when the highway opens to traffic we plan to pursue a major commercial building development project. We also intend to actively invest in rental real estate.
